We’ve all heard the many benefits of eating whole wheat and other whole grains. Yet, unfortunately, we all know how it’s really easy to go about life eating nothing but bleached, over-processed, white flour that is empty of all of the wonderful nutrients wheat has to offer. While whole wheat products are still not the norm, I’m trying to make them the norm in my life. Since the beginning of my blog I’ve been trying my hand at “making over” traditional recipes that would call for white flour and instead integrating whole wheat. My biggest challenge is having a husband who doesn’t like it when things taste too “whole wheaty”, and so with each recipe I try to aim for a very traditional flavor and texture that’s friendly to all taste buds and age groups. Foods made with whole wheat can be so delicious, and it’s even more rewarding knowing that you’re doing something so positive for your body!
