Welllll, here I am again…posting a What I Ate Wednesday past midnight so it’s techically Thursday. Things are crazy around here! All of those absences I racked up from being sick means I have a LOT to catch up on. Along with school stuff, I’m waiting on results from blood work to hopefully find out why I’ve been getting so sick. Between classes, an optometrist visit, and work on a mock brief for one of my classes, I have NOT had enough time to eat today! You should be able to tell that from my lack of snacking and protein! Ooops.
I’ve started putting real toppings on my Cream of Wheat like I would with my oatmeal and I’m loving it! It keeps me fuller longer if I add fruit and healthy fats in there.
Lunch: french onion soup, farmhouse grilled cheese sandwich with slaw @ Second Street Bistro
It was so beautiful outside this afternoon when we got out of class (in the 70′s!) so I wanted to go out to eat somewhere al fresco. We chose a place that we love and that has outdoor seating, only to discover when we got there that all the outdoor seating was taken. Oh well. We ate in freezing cold AC, but it was still a good meal.
They have the BEST french onion soup!
And Jason enjoyed this huge thing…I have to say, I was a little jealous! Should have ordered a burger!
Afternoon GREEN!: huge green monster
I noticed that I wasn’t doing so well with my veggies today so I had this green guy as a snack to try and remedy that! So good.
Dinner: homemade whole wheat pizza with goat cheese and arugula, sparkling water
I added some of this on top of my pizza and it was so. good.
And flavored sparkling water on the side! This kind doesn’t have any sugar or artificial flavorings, so it’s pretty much just seltzer. I’ve obviously run out of my Pellegrino sodas.
And that’s all she wrote. (I’ve been watching too much Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives…Guy literally repeats the phrases “That’s MONEY.”, “Winner, winner, chicken dinner.”, and “That’s all she wrote.” 8 million times every episode. Yes, exactly 8 million times.)
Thanks for reading!
